PRECURSOR: Unfortunately, Yahoo Groups currently proclaims the topic of innocent naturism/nudism as an "adult" subject no different from pornographic nudity. Naturists strongly disagree with this position, but this a Yahoo policy, not of individual clubs like Kennessee Nudists. As a result, many naturist club moderators have transfered their clubs from Yahoo Groups to more naturist-friendly hosts, something being considered by Kennessee Nudists.
Naturists continue efforts to educate Yahoo administrators with a more accurate understanding of naturism, but for now an adult firewall prevents looking at a Yahoo Groups naturist/nudist homepage without first registering. Afterwards, upon logging into a Yahoo Groups naturist club for the first time in web view, you will receive an adult warning screen asking that you accept responsibility. This is a one-time interaction and you will not see that screen again if you choose to accept responsibility for logging into a Yahoo Groups naturist club.
Despite the enforced "adult" firewall, Kennessee Nudists is a G-rated naturist club.

Kennessee Nudists is a Yahoo Groups naturist/nudist forum (not natur-al-ist i.e. bird watching, although many naturists are also naturalists) with message board and chatroom among other features. This forum centers on naturism in the USA states of Kentucky and Tennessee.
Major topics for discussion on Kennessee Nudists can include trip reports to nudist clubs, alerts about anti-nudity legislation that endangers naturism, questions from newbies, etc. Dialog, exchange of ideas, and tactful debate of naturist issues are welcomed including from naturism opponents. Keep in mind that good manners are expected. Kennessee Nudists is a friendly club and we want to keep it that way. Offtopic posting (especially when porn, swinging, etc, are main topics), commercial spam, flaming, harassment, and trolling will not be tolorated and are grounds for banning or removal; debate the *issue*, not the poster.
As Kennessee Nudists is for all ages, subscribers found with porn pics, strong adult-only categories and other non-family items on Yahoo member profile pages are BANNED; if you want to keep your adult-oriented Yahoo profile, it's suggested you create a second profile for Kennessee Nudists. This said, those having a Yahoo *designated* adult profile (it literally says 'adult', this creates a firewall) that is otherwise G-rated is acceptable although one can choose to 'un-adult' their profile. Also, while one may generalize or leave blank parts of their profile deemed too private, an empty or nearly empty Yahoo profile page is not acceptable.
Those wanting an adult-only club will need to go elsewhere.
Posts can have secondary sexual issues (like male naturist involuntary erections), but they need to tactfully relate to naturism; posts only about sex are offtopic just like any other non-naturist issue is offtopic. While naturists are not anti-sex (where do you think all the little naturists come from?[!]), open sexuality is not a main reason for nudity in a naturist setting.
The posting of naturist-oriented pics in the 'photos' section is welcomed, but no porn pics including those that focus on genital areas. Please, no nude pics of anyone under 18, not even innocent naturist pics; this is not a Kennnessee Nudists rule, but a Yahoo Groups policy forbidding *any* nude pics of minors.
Due to the high potential of spreading computer viruses, the attachments feature is deactivated. While English is the overwhelming language of choice and thus will be most effective, other tongues such as Spanish (spoken by one of the moderators and a few members) and French are fine.

You can download free chat software from Yahoo; it pops up as you enter the chatroom. However, due to Yahoo chat being technically unreliable in recent times, we will rely more on PalTalk chat at paltalk.com . Registration and use of PalTalk is free.
After becoming a member, there are two ways to post on the Kennessee Nudists message board. You can simply email your post from your designated Yahoo Groups email address to kennesseenudists@yahoogroups.com . One can also login to the Kennessee Nudists website and click "Post" to bring up posting page.
You can choose to receive message board posts via:
1. Individual emails
2. A daily digest email
3. Special notice emails (from moderators)
4. No email, only view posts on the club homepage.
To see and modify your groups, login and click "Edit My Membership" or "My Groups" and follow instructions.
If you later wish to leave, you may unsubscribe by sending a blank email from your designated Yahoo Groups email address to kennesseenudists-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com . You can also unsubscribe by logging into the Kennessee Nudist homepage and then clicking "Leave Group". Please do NOT post unsubscribe requests on the message board as this will be of little or no effect while cluttering the board.
NOTE: For membership in any Yahoo Groups club, Yahoo requires a *valid* email address. This is even if a member chooses not to use email for checking message board posts, and if a member otherwise keeps their email address private. Members with bouncing emails (such as invalid addresses, full inboxes) are removed from Kennessee Nudists, so email problems need to be fixed before subscribing/resubscribing. To change email addresses, login to Yahoo Groups, then click "My Groups" followed by "Email Preferences" and follow directions.
